Webhook

An automatic notification a system sends when an event occurs.

Définition

A webhook is an HTTP message an application sends automatically the moment an event occurs (new order, payment). Unlike an API call you have to make yourself, a webhook pushes the information in real time. It is a key mechanism for responsive syncing.
